Favorite referencing style

I favour the simplicity of the Harvard referencing style, as this is what I worked with during my own studies in psychology.

Why I became an editor

My love of reading and passion for words dominates my daily life, so it feels natural for me to work with writing. I write fiction for pleasure and study several languages, including French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Japanese and Mandarin. I’ve even read the English dictionary from cover to cover and enjoyed it!

Studying psychology honed my skills in writing with precision, concision and clarity. Proofreading is a wonderful opportunity to support writers as they strive to produce their best work.

Background and experience

I've completed the 'Becoming A Proofreader' course with Knowadays, attaining a distinction grade.

Why I love proofreading and editing

I love improving each piece of writing to its maximum potential, ensuring that it's as consistent, clean, clear and strong as possible while preserving the writer's voice, meaning and intentions.

When I'm not proofreading, I'm usually reading, writing or studying languages.

Editing tips:

On my first pass of a document, I like to skim-read it and quickly resolve any clear and easily rectifiable errors. This allows me to focus during subsequent passes on more complex issues.
