APA referencing is my favorite choice! It's easy to use and popular worldwide.
I only recently discovered my desire to become an editor, but I have always loved reading and writing. At university, I studied music production, which involved writing essays and producing songs. I recorded instruments in a wide range of music genres, and I wrote various documents. I went on to become a music teacher and I loved seeing my students improve in ability and confidence. Being an editor is the perfect job for me, as it combines my love of reading, writing, and helping people.
I worked in the medical records department at my local hospital. Attention to detail was important for spotting errors, ensuring information was updated correctly, and working at a fast pace. As a private music teacher, I taught the piano, flute, saxophone, and music theory for grades 1–5. Teaching required being able to adapt to each pupil's individual needs, preparing them for exams and reading sheet music.
To put it simply, I love reading and writing! I especially enjoy proofreading stories and anything related to music. I also love how each document is unique and provides a different challenge. I find it rewarding to help others achieve flawless writing while ensuring the author's voice is maintained.

Unseen Academicals by Terry Pratchett. It's a witty story that draws you into an immersive world filled with amazing characters.
I love to read whenever I get the chance. I also like listening to music (jazz is my favorite genre) and finding the next exciting cake to bake!
I skim through the text to get a sense of the document type and the author's voice, check the dialect for any regional differences, and read each sentence out loud to determine where edits are needed.
