Favorite referencing style

I’m happy with any referencing style, as long as its consistent!

Why I became an editor

I first became interested in writing while working on my undergraduate essays at university. I decided to write an even longer essay, my PhD, through which I learned a lot about how to create and structure my writing. While working in university administration, I learned to deliver short and clear messages with impact in professional documents. Whether it's in an academic or business setting, I love working with authors to provide a second pair of eyes, removing the typos and adding clarity.

Background and experience

I have proofread and edited numerous business documents, such as PowerPoint presentations, committee papers, and minutes. I compiled and edited an anthology of works by the composer Vaughan Williams, published by the Oxford University Press (titled Vaughan Williams on Music), and I edited a published online bibliography on this subject as well. I also edited and formatted the newsletter for a research center at the School of Music in the University of Bristol.

Why I love proofreading and editing

I love working with people to make their documents the best they can be. I enjoy working in a range of areas, spanning both academic and business, and I love the variety this brings.

I love a good biography. Claire Tomalin's Samuel Pepys transported me to another time and way of life.

Hobbies:

My hobbies include listening to music, occasionally singing, and walking often.

I close the door of my office and enter a calm and quiet state of mind. Then, I am ready to begin proofreading.
