Proofed Adds New Alipay And WeChat Payment Options
Move will ensure ease of use for Chinese customers.
Proofed’s customers come from all over the world and have two things in common:
- A desire to produce clear, concise, error-free writing.
- An appreciation of a smooth, simple user experience.
Our expert editors handle that first one. And to ensure point two, we’re always looking for ways to improve our customer service. That is why Proofed is now offering Alipay and WeChat Payment options for our Chinese customers.
China has the fastest growing English-speaking population in the world today and Chinese speakers make up a large proportion of our customer base. So to make sure their experiences with Proofed are seamless, we now allow customers to pay for proofreading and editing via Alipay and WeChat Pay, two of the most popular payment platforms in China.

To launch these new payment options, we are working with our payment processor, Stripe, one of the most widely trusted names in online commerce. Proofed Board Member William Hannay says, “We began working with Stripe because they share our global outlook. And since WeChat Pay and Alipay dominate payment processing in China, we’re excited to introduce this functionality. With this, we can further ensure our Chinese customers enjoy seamless payment processing.”
Payment via Alipay and WeChat is now available on our US, UK, and Australian sites. As such, anyone studying or working in the US, UK, or Australia can use Alipay or WeChat at the click of a button. Simply select your preferred payment option when you upload your document.
